A motorcyclist was killed Thursday evening on Dayton Boulevard.
Officers responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of Dayton Boulevard and Midvale Avenue. The on-scene investigation revealed that a motorcycle was traveling southbound on Dayton Boulevard as a PT Cruiser was pulling out from the McDonald's parking lot in an attempt to cross Dayton Boulevard and continue east on Midvale Ave. The PT Cruiser pulled into the path of the motorcycle and was struck by the motorcycle in the driver side door. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle, which then slid across Dayton Boulevard and struck a northbound truck.
The motorcycle rider was transported to Erlanger Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Hamilton County Sheriff Office Traffic Division is assisting in this ongoing investigation. Alcohol is not being considered as a factor at this time.
