McCoslin, Sucy Aline Rector Stewart (South Pittsburg)

Lucy Aline Rector Stewart McCoslin, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 after a lengthy battle with heart disease.  

She was the daughter of the late Dudley Rector and was a former employee of South Pittsburg Elementary School and Dixie Freeze. She was of the Baptist faith.  She loved to sew and knit, enjoyed cooking for her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her children, Virgie (Mitchell) Swafford, Debra (Eddie) Richardson, Alton Stewart, Jr., all of South Pittsburg and James Stewart of South Carolina; her mother, Virgie Rector, of South Pittsburg; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five brothers, Pete, Jimmy, Joe, Johnny and Tom Rector; three sisters, Bisie Stewart, Sarah Avans and Mary Broad; two godchildren, Ashley Avans and Crystal Rector; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Saturday, September 14, at 3 p.m. Central time with Rev. Jim Richardson and Brother John Smith officiating.  Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Friday, September 13, from 2-9 p.m Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, who has charge of the arrangements.
