Pauline “Granny” Burnett, of Trenton, Georgia, died on Tuesday, September 17, 2013.
She was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Copper Hill, Tn. She was a member of Canaan Land Baptist Church and was retired from Rossville Mills.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John H. Burnett, infant son and daughter, Bruce and Betty Jean Burnett, granddaughter, Melanie Burnett and sisters, Eveline Ownbey and Patsy Kent.
She is survived by her four children, son, James and Imogene Burnett of Senoia, Ga., daughter, Geneva and Ray Perkins of Locust Grove, Ga., son, Jack and Ernestine Burnett of Rossville, and daughter, Ann and Jackie Moore of Higdon, Al., special friend and caregiver, Rose, 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren and nine sets of the fifth generation.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, at 3 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Brandon, Reverend James Burnett and Geneva Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with grandsons, Mike Cannon, Derek Burnett, Scott Kirk, Doug Perkins, Casteel Lacy and Jake Cannon serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Tony Burnett and Patrick Cannon.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 5-9 p.m. and Friday, from noon until the funeral hour in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
