7-Year-Old Carries Gun To Woodmore Elementary School

Wednesday, September 18, 2013

Police said a seven-year-old carried a gun in his backpack to Woodmore Elementary School.

At approximately 3:20 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the school for a firearm on a school property call.  The administration of Woodmore Elementary reported to officers that the child carried a firearm onto school property.

The gun was found in the backpack of the student and reported to school officials.

Woodmore Elementary was placed on a brief lockdown as a result, but resumed normal activity once the child was removed from the premises.

The firearm was not discharged and no one was injured.  The child was released to the parents shortly after police arrived.

It is unknown, at this time, if charges will be filed.

Roy Exum: Keep Your ‘Dirty’ Feed

Mark Twain once observed the difference in a cat and a lie is that a cat only has nine lives. The truth is that the horses were taken ... (click for more)

Gilpin, Stocks Victorious In Chattanooga Chase 8K

John Gilpin has done plenty of training in North Chattanooga and is very familiar with the Chattanooga Chase and the series of hills the oldest race in Chattanooga is known for. Both were overall winners in this unique 8K ... (click for more)

Golf and Chattanooga Have Lost Another Oehmig
