Catoosa County To Test Citizens Alert System On Sept. 26

Catoosa County Emergency Management Agency will be testing the Citizens Alert System on Sept. 26. The test will begin at 6 p.m. and will send alerts to citizens via cell phones (text message), home phones, business phones and email addresses. 

The test will be monitored for accuracy and citizen response. Please follow the instructions on the text message and voice message. The test will conclude when all citizens have been sent a test message, approximately 30 minutes or less.

Citizens who have not registered already, should go to www.catoosa.com to set up an account and notification preferences.


Lane Closures For Projects Start Saturday

ML King Boulevard will be closed for eastbound traffic between Market Street and Broad Street, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.  This building maintenance project is scheduled for 10 hours, and the roadway will reopen at 6:30 p.m. that day.  Detours will be posted.  The 200 block of Market Street will be narrowed to one lane northbound for installation of a ... Firefighters Put Out Fire In Compost Pile At City's Wood Recycling Center

Chattanooga firefighters were called to a fire at the city's wood recycling center on N. Hawthorne Street around noon on Sunday.
