Unum Volunteers To Spend A Day Helping The Boys & Girls Club With Camp Improvement Projects

More than 210 Unum volunteers will spend a day away from the office on Friday to focus on helping The Boys & Girls Club make their summer camp top-notch. 

The Unum volunteers will team up to complete several projects, including clearing trails, cleaning and repairing the basketball court, sanding and painting tables and benches and anything else that needs to be done. 

The Boys & Girls Club Camp is at 5300 Howardsville Road in Apison.

Unemployment Rates Drop In December In 20 Tennessee Counties; Hamilton County Remains Unchanged

County unemployment rates for December 2014, released Thursday, show the rate decreased in 20 counties, increased in 64 counties, and remained the same in 11 counties.  Knox County had the state’s lowest major metropolitan rate in December at 5.0 percent, down from 5.1 percent in November. Chance Loftis Set To Be Freed From Jail After Jury Finds Him Guilty Of Only Misdemeanor Charge

Chance Loftis is set to be freed from jail on Monday after a Criminal Court jury on Friday afternoon found him guilty of only a minor charge.
