Girl Scouts Host Cornhuskers Festival At Camp Adahi

Girl Scouts will celebrate the beauty of fall at Camp Adahi's Cornhuskers Festival on Oct. 5, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 

The Girl Scout camp is nestled in Lookout Mountain near Cloudland, Ga. Cornhuskers features family-friendly events, including a "field of fun" and hayrides. 

All girls between the ages of five and 18 may join Girl Scouts and register online to attend the festival with their families. Call 800 474-1912 for more information. 

Sorority Feeds A Multitude For Thanksgiving

Lee University student Guilherme von Streber was the recipient of the 2015 Crosby Scholarship, presented by Lee President Dr. Paul Conn during a chapel service.  The Crosby Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Dr. Henry Crosby, a close friend of Dr. Conn and his wife Darlia. Christina Strickland, 35, was shot on Thursday.  Chattanooga Police were informed that a shooting victim had arrived by personal vehicle at a local hospital. A Violent Crimes investigator responded and interviewed her. She  suffered a single non-life threatening injury to the ankle. Man, 56, Stabbed At The Corner Of North Market, Frazier Avenue

A 56-year-old man was stabbed at the corner of North Market Street and Frazier Avenue on Wednesday night. Chattanooga Police were advised of the altercation at 7 p.m. Police located a single victim, Danny Henderson, suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen.  T he victim was transported to a local hospital where he received treatment for his injuries. ...
