Girl Scouts Host Cornhuskers Festival At Camp Adahi

Girl Scouts will celebrate the beauty of fall at Camp Adahi's Cornhuskers Festival on Oct. 5, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 

The Girl Scout camp is nestled in Lookout Mountain near Cloudland, Ga. Cornhuskers features family-friendly events, including a "field of fun" and hayrides. 

All girls between the ages of five and 18 may join Girl Scouts and register online to attend the festival with their families. Call 800 474-1912 for more information.

Dog Saves Woman From Fire At Highway 58 Area

A homeowner reported that her dog saved her life early Sunday morning. At 12:52 am , the homeowner called 911 reporting a fire at 8411 Providence Road (Highway 58 area). The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene reporting a log cabin with flames coming through the roof. The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of Georgetown Road.  A BCSO officer was waved down at the intersection of 25 th Street and Peerless Road by the driver of a vehicle who told the officer a gunshot victim was inside.
