Mise En Scenesters will host a screening of Jason Lapeyre and Robert Wilson’s I Declare War on Saturday at Barking Legs Theatre at 8:30 p.m.
Review for I Declare War:
I Declare War is a true crowd-pleaser that’s as fun as it is unique. A 2012 Toronto International Film Festival Official Selection, the movie follows a group of kids in a neighborhood game of capture the flag that blurs the line between make believe and reality.
"If as a kid you ever pretended a stick was a machine gun or that your neighbors sidewalk was made of hot lava, I Declare War will provide you with one of the most entertaining and nostalgic movie going experiences of the year," said MES head honcho Chris Dortch.
Following recent screenings of Terrence Malik’s To The Wonder, V/H/S/2 and Computer Chess, I Declare War is the latest in a long line o films that Mise En Scenesters have been able to bring to Chattanooga that would otherwise not see a big screen release in the area.
Tickets to the screening are $7 at the door, and there will be another signature pre-roll from MES.
