Kimberly Keck Speaks At Chattanooga Music Teachers Association Oct. 10

The Chattanooga Music Teachers Association will meet on Oct. 10 at 9:30 a.m. at Crutcher Pianos,  Lee Highway at Highway 153.  

Kimberly Keck, music professor at Bryan College will speak on "Don't Sit Still, Get Moving and Learn."  

Ms. Keck, assistant professor of Music, is in her seventh year of teaching at Bryan College where she is the director of the Bryan Opera Theatre, Women's Chorus, teaches Applied Voice and Music Education related courses. She earned a Master of Music degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in Vocal Performance with an emphasis in Opera. Mrs. Keck is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts from Boston University in Music Education. She resides in Dayton with her husband, Steve, and four children.

The public is invited free of charge.

Dr. Russell Dyer Chosen As Director Of Schools By Cleveland City School Board

The Cleveland City School board unanimously voted Thursday afternoon to offer the job of director of Schools to Dr. Russell Dyer. Dr. Dyer currently serves as the Chief of Staff of Schools in Collierville, Tn.  If Dr. Dyer accepts the school board's contract, he will be paid $132,500 a year.
