Clyde Leslie “C.L.” Cruse, 88, of Rocky Face, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late Milas and Ida Locklear Cruse; and was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Annie Lucille Gibson Cruse; brothers, Ernest, Charles and Robert Cruse; sisters, Florene Garrett and Essie Fowler; an infant sister; and a great-grandson, Shepherd Scott Kiker.
C.L. is survived by his children, Dale (Amy) Cruse of Rocky Face, Rickey (Carla) Cruse of Dalton, Michael (Debbie) Cruse of Cohutta, Linda Jan Cruse Clarey of Cohutta; Brenda Ann (Scot) Clarey of Dalton, Joan Cruse Teems of Dalton and Janean (Lamar) Fowler of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Tyler Cruse, Nicholas Cruse, Natalie (Mark) Dollar, Noel Cruse (Claire Boozer), Keith (Valeri) Cruse, Brandy (Chris) Thomas, Greg (Megan) Kiker, Brandon (Tracy) Cruse, Lesleigh (Nick) Manis, Kaitlyn Clarey, Cara Clarey (Michael Gunter), Jordan Teems, Jamie (Mike) Hamilton and Matthew Fowler; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Floyd Cruse and Billy Cruse; sisters, Aline Garrett, Stella Patterson and Bessie MaCalliey; brother-in-law and sisters-in-laws, Oddis and Hazel Gibson, Juanita Gibson, Wilma Gibson and Mabel Cruse; a host of nieces and nephews; and his church family at Rock Bridge Community Church.
Funeral services for C.L. will be on Friday, September 27 at noon at the Rock Bridge Community Church with the Rev. Matt Evans officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope-Kilgore Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday, September 26 from 5-8 p.m.
