Marion Crumbley
Marion Louise Hanson Crumbley, of Signal Mountain, died on Wednesday, September 25, 2013.
She was 87.
Marion was born in Atlanta, and had been a longtime resident of the Signal Mountain area. She was a charter member of Signal Crest United Methodist Church and member of the Parks Sunday School Class. Marion was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Rhodes Hanson and Mary Beatrice Durden; her brothers, Thomas W. Hanson, Emmett A. Hanson, George W. Hanson, Harold C. Hanson and Howard G. Hanson; sister, Florence E. Smith.
Marion is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, James W. Crumbley; sons, Thomas N. (Jarien) Crumbley, MD, of Scottsdale, Az., and William R. Crumbley, MD, of Tampa, Fl.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister, Martha F. Scott of Conyers, Ga.; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, at the North Chapel.
A celebration of life service will be held for Marion at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Signal Crest United Methodist Church, 1005 Ridgeway Ave, Signal Mountain, Tn., with Dr. Mark Gooden officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Flora Hills Memorial Gardens, 3000 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, Ga. 30084 in the Mausoleum Chapel.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Signal Crest United Methodist Church or your favorite charity.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
