North Chattanooga Summit Is Wednesday

The North Chattanooga Summit will be Wednesday from 5:30 -7 p.m. at the Business Development Center.

The event will focus on economic development and quality of life issues in North Chattanooga.  Experts will speak on the areas of safety, zoning, traffic, signage and beautification. There will also be round table discussions by topic. Committees will form and plans will be made to improve North Chattanooga.

The Summit is hosted by Councilman Chip Henderson of District 1 and Councilman Jerry Mitchell of District 2 in coordination with North Shore Hip to Historical and the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. 

Drinks and refreshments will be provided by On the List Catering.

Harr Outlines $40 Million Plan For Chattanooga Light Rail System

Outgoing Chamber of Commerce President Ron Harr on Monday outlined a $40 million plan for a Chattanooga light rail system that would serve not only downtown, but also the Airport and the Enterprise South Industrial Park.
