Nelms Third In Mid-Amateur Championship

DICKSON, Tenn. -- Chattanooga's Josh Nelms is tied for third at 3-under 69 after the first round of the 26th Tennessee Mid-Amateur Championship at the GreyStone Golf Club.

Jackson's Danny Green and Nashville's Kris Devlin share the lead at 68.

Chattanooga's Nick Blakely is tied for ninth at 70.

Blakely Takes Choo-Choo Golf Lead

Former Ooltewah High and Birmingham-Southern College standout Nick Blakely took the lead Tuesday in the Choo-Choo Invitational at Council Fire. City Council Presents Potential Ordinance To Address Noise Level Downtown

Members of the Chattanooga City Council presented a potential ordinance to address concerns about the noise level downtown. Man Shot On Ohls Avenue While Working In His Yard

A Chattanooga man was shot Tuesday evening, while working in his yard. At approximately 8:55 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 4217 Ohls Ave. for a shooting.
