All occupants of a Red Bank apartment had to vacate after an early morning fire Sunday.

The blaze broke out about 2 a.m. at the Ravenscroft Apartments at 300 West Midvale.

Authorities said it appeared to start in a ground-floor unit of the three-story building.

The exact origin of the fire remains under investigation.

There are 10 units occupied, and all those residents had to find other shelter.

Three units had major damage.

Firefighters from Dallas Bay and Waldens Ridge responded to a mutual aid request.

One dog died. Red Bank firefighters tried to revive the dog, but were unsuccessful.

This same apartment building caught fire several months ago.
