A haunted world featuring classic and contemporary horror films, hosted by the neurotic ghoul Dr. Shock and his devilishly lovely sidekick Nurse Goodbody. Joining them is the mischievous prankster puppet Dingbat and a new addition as puppet master, a “dream reaper,” known as The“Dirge.” The three exchange humorous banter and discuss facts drawn from “Plan 9 From Outer Space”.
The cast and crew of Shock Theatre have completed its third episode and will air the program on Oct. 26 at midnight. Episode three is a horror hosting package created to present “Plan 9 From Outer Space”. The program is in High Definition and portrays Dingbat as a victim of an alien abduction. The back story is in support of the classic horror film, “Plan 9 From Outer Space.” Legend Film’s has done a magnificent job with the restoration process of Ed Wood’s cult classic and they’ve added a new twist, the element of color. You’ll be amazed at how this cult classic comes alive on screen with the addition of colorization.
Shock Theatre has created an alien abduction back story to augment their presentation of “Plan 9 From Outer Space.” The cast follow leads throughout the program until they finally locate the abducted Dingbat and confront an alien being, whose spacecraft has been ditched. You’ll witness Dingbat being beamed aboard a UFO, examined by aliens, then Dr. Shock will come to Dingbat’s rescue where he will communicate directly with an alien being. The program is due to air on WDEF TV12 for a Halloween special at midnight (12:05 a.m.) on Oct. 26..
Jack Gray, who portrays Dr. Shock and is lead producer for the program along with Johnny Stockman, said, "W’ve created an alien abduction scenario as a wrap around horror hosting package for 'Plan 9 From Outer Space.' It’s a full two-hour program with skits, original music, movie facts and horror news."
This is the third installment in an attempt by Gray and the cast and crew of Shock Theatre to have the infamous horror hosting program revamped and air on a local station. “WDEF TV12 has really stepped up to the plate and given Shock Theatre a warm reception, by allowing us to air our episodes. We’re thrilled to be able to present Episode three 'Plan 9 From Outer Space,' 'The Abduction of Dingbat.'”
