Chattanooga Police Department Hosts Kick-Off For 30th Annual National Night Out

The Chattanooga Police Department Crime Prevention Unit invites the public the Kick-Off event for the 30th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday. This year’s Kick-Off event is being hosted by Avondale/Battery Heights/Bushtown/Churchville/Glenwood/Lincoln Park/Riverside and Wheeler Ave. Associations, at The East Chattanooga  Recreation Center at 2409 Dodson Ave.  The event will begin at 5 p.m. and will include refreshments and fun activities for the whole family. 

This year there will be over 30 neighborhoods participating in National Night Out with a wide variety of activities planned.

Woman, 20, Killed While Trying To Cross Highway 153 Early Sunday Morning

A woman, 20, was killed early Sunday morning while trying to cross Highway 153. The victim was identified as Ansleigh Kaylyn Harrison. At approximately 1:28 a.m. , Chattanooga Police officers responded to a pedestrian struck at 5256 Highway 153. 2 Shot In Separate Incidents Early Saturday Morning; 1 Victim Is A Juvenile Girl

Two people were shot early Saturday morning in separate incidents.
