Ted Bullock from Huntsville, Ala., is the new executive director of the Bethlehem Center in Alton Park.

He replaces Lurone Jennings, longtime Beth Center director who recently was named director of the city's Department of Youth and Family Development.

Mr. Bullock was unanimously approved by the board on Tuesday.

He worked for 20 years with the Boy Scouts of America and then spent the last 10 years with the Downtown Rescue Mission.

Officials said, "Ted comes to us with 20 years' experience of working with inner city youth and 30 years' experience with fund and volunteer development. He and his wife, Rhea, are passionate about serving God and are very excited about this opportunity.

The Board and the Staff of the Bethlehem Center are looking forward to Ted's leadership."
