The County is in progress with the Edison – Sutton Sanitary Sewer Construction Project. Mack Smith Road (between North Avenue andSutton Avenue) will be closed from Sept. 6-9 for utility construction, weather permitting.

Northwest Georgia’s Unemployment Rate Falls To 6.4 Percent In November

The Georgia Department of Labor announced Thursday that the unemployment rate in the Northwest Georgia region was 6.4 percent in November, down six-tenths of a percentage point from 7.0 percent in October. Man Stabbed Multiple Times In MLK Boulevard Disorder

A man was stabbed multiple times in a disorder on MLK Boulevard on Thursday afternoon. At approximately 4:06 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a stabbing at 300 E. MLK Boulevard.
