Erlanger rang in the New Year with first and second baby born in Chattanooga

Rene and Gilda Arevalo of Chattanooga welcomed their new baby boy into the world at 12:17 a.m.  Evan Arevalo is 22 inches long and weighs 9 pounds 3 ounces.  Both mom and baby are doing well.

This is not the only member in the family to have a winter birthday.  In fact, Evan's 8-year-old sister, Emely, was born on Dec. 29 and Gilda's birthday is on Dec.

Not too far behind Evan was the second baby born in Chattanooga at Erlanger East.  Carry and Trey Hicks, from Apison have a new baby girl.  Tenley Hicks was born at 2:53 a.m., weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces and is 21 inches long.

Case Of Drug Ring Involving Child Sent To Grand Jury

Felony drug charges against four individuals who admitted to involving a child in their alleged crimes were bound over to a grand jury after a Tuesday hearing. Arrest Made After String Of Auto Burglaries Near Munro Road

A Chattanooga man was arrested and charged with a string of auto burglaries in the Munro Road area. Witnesses said they saw three men in a white Volvo drive up and attempt to break into a vehicle in a driveway on the street.  When police located the suspect car, they also found multiple stolen items, including a gun.
