UTC's Nick Soto Seeks Win No.70

Longtime friend and supporter of UTC and Baylor School wrestling, Sis Morgan, passed away Tuesday afternoon at home after a long battle with cancer

She was the wife of former UTC and Baylor head wrestling coach Jim Morgan.

Visitation is Friday Jan. 3 at Lane Funeral Home on Ashand Terrace, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m,

The funeral is at 1 p.m., also at Lane Funeral Home.

UTC junior Nick Soto has an 11-match win streak this season and has 69 for a career .

UTC Women Surge Past Western Carolina

 The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga used a 27-point fourth quarter to surge past Western Carolina for a 65-51 win Saturday afternoon at the Ramsey Center and move into second place in the Southern Conference women’s basketball standings. Paul Pitches Covenant Past Emory and Henry

 Jonah Paul twirled a complete-game gem and the Covenant baseball team used a four-run first inning to take a 5-0 victory over Emory & Henry and complete a three-game sweep on Saturday afternoon. Man At Homeless Camp On Chestnut Street Charged With Trying To Set Fire To Another Man

A man at a homeless camp on Chestnut Street has been charged with trying to set fire to another man at the camp. Richard Warren "Trey" Erwin, 40, is charged with aggravated arson. Police were called to the 2200 block of Chestnut at 12:40 a.m. Earlier, Michael Nye and Alisa Buckels had called for an ambulance.
