Crumley, John J. "Fuzz" (Cleveland)

John J. “Fuzz” Crumley, 72, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 31, 2013 at his home. 

Fuzz was born on June 1, 1941 a son of the late John Henry & Jessie Crumley. He was of the Baptist faith and worked for many years until his retirement as a Security Guard for Bradley Security. Fuzz was an honorable discharged Vitenam veteran of the United States Army having faithfully served his country during two tours of duty receiving two purple hearts and one bronze star. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Guess; two sons, Jacob Crumley and Joseph Crumley; three sisters, Rebecca Crumley, Helen Jones & Shirley Long; and three brothers, Tommy Crumely, Clint Crumley & Fred Crumley.

Fuzz is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 39+ years, Donna McLemore Crumley; one daughter, Tammy Burke and her husband Tommy of Waynesboro, TN; two sons, Tye Crumley and his wife Crystal and Jeff Crumley; seven grandchildren, Brittany Patterson, Jessica Burger, Hannah Burke, Haley Burke, Bailey Crumley, J.T. Crumley and Braden Crumley; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Willie Gregg and her husband Daryll; special nephew, Danny Jones; numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends. 

A celebration of his life is planned for Friday night, January 3 at 7 p.m. at the Beacon Baptist Church located at 505 Corvin Road NE in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Floyd Boggess officiating. 

The interment and committal service will take place on Monday, January 6 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. and will conclude with full military honors. 

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, January 3 from 5-7 p.m.
