House Catches Fire On Colville Street

A house caught fire in North Chattanooga on Saturday night.

Chattanooga firefighters were directed to 317 Colville St. They received the alarm around 8 p.m. 

Battalion Chief Charles Patton said smoke was coming from the attic when the first firefighters arrived on the scene.

 No one appeared to be home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The loss was estimated at $100,000.

Bradley County SPCA Board Addresses Allegations Of Unanswered Calls

During a Monday afternoon Bradley County Commission meeting, a representative from the sheriff's department said that there were 266 emergency calls unanswered by the SPCA regarding animals.
