Teens Play With Gun; One Shot In The Head; Injury Not Life-Threatening

A teen was shot in the head early Sunday afternoon when he and a friend were playing with a gun.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., the youth was brought to a local hospital for a gunshot wound to his head. 

 It was reported to police that the juvenile was with a friend and the two were handling a loaded firearm.  The friend pulled the trigger of a small-caliber revolver and accidentally struck the victim in the back of the head.  

The victim was brought to the hospital by his mother and is currently being treated for the injury that is believed to be non-life-threatening.  

The incident happened at 4806 13th Ave.
