Planning Commission Recommends Approval For 7-Story UTC Student Housing

The Planning Commission on Monday recommended approval for a seven-story building near UTC aimed at housing students.

RSD LLC/Jake Toner is planning the tower, which will include two floors of parking and then five residence floors.

The site is at Douglas and E. 10th Street.

A previous condition on the zoning limited a building to six stories.

Darrius Starling, 24, was shot twice in Miller Park on Tuesday afternoon. Chattanooga Police responded to the 900 block of Market Street on the report of a disorder between two people. Judge Denies Motion By Walker County To Delay Closing Of Hutcheson Hospital

A bankruptcy judge in Atlanta on Tuesday denied a motion by Walker County, Ga., is asking a delay in closing Hutcheson Medical Center and laying off employees.
