Former County School Board Chairman Kenny Smith plans to run as a Democrat for the District 8 County Commission seat.
Mr. Smith ran before, but lost to Tim Boyd, the current incumbent.
Rusty Munger has also picked up to run as a Democrat.
Curtis Adams, who was the longtime District 8 representative before taking the city manager job in Crossville, is facing Commissioner Boyd in the Republican primary.
