Kenny Smith To Enter As Democrat In District 8 County Commission Contest

Former County School Board Chairman Kenny Smith plans to run as a Democrat for the District 8 County Commission seat.

Mr. Smith ran before, but lost to Tim Boyd, the current incumbent.

Rusty Munger has also picked up to run as a Democrat.

Curtis Adams, who was the longtime District 8 representative before taking the city manager job in Crossville, is facing Commissioner Boyd in the Republican primary.

Owners Of Trucking Firm Involved In Tragic Wreck At Ooltewah Exit Ask That Cases Be Moved To Federal Court

The owners of a Kentucky trucking firm involved in a wreck in which six people were killed at the Ooltewah exit of I-75 on June 25 are asking that lawsuits in the matter be handled in Federal Court. Memphis Man Wanted For Fatally Shooting Police Officer Added To TBI's Top 10 List

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has a new addition to the state’s Top Ten Most Wanted list, Tremaine Wilbourn of Memphis.  Wilbourn is wanted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Memphis Police Department on the charge of Homicide for killing a Memphis Police Officer on Sunday.
