The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce has hired Amanda Ellis as Marketing and Communications coordinator.
Ms. Ellis will write for Chamber communications and serve as managing editor for the Chamber’s Trend magazine. She will also script and recruit guests for Taking Care of Business, the Chamber’s monthly public affairs program, as well as for semi-monthly segments featuring Chamber member businesses on News Channel 9’s This n That.
“We’re glad to have Amanda on board. Her excellent writing and editing skills will serve her well in this position and make her a great addition to our team,” said J.Ed. Marston, vice president of marketing and communications at the Chattanooga Chamber.
Ms. Ellis is a Chattanooga native and a graduate of Nashville’s Belmont University. She brings experience from several internships to this position, including stints at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and Nashville public relations firm McNeely Pigott & Fox.
“I’m especially excited that this position will allow me to jump in and get involved with all that’s happening in Chattanooga, and I’m also looking forward to the varied writing opportunities,” said Ms. Ellis.
