The Baylor School girl's and boy's soccer teams won the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, "High School Team Academic Award".
Both teams were nominated individually but both received this great honor. The girl's overall team GPA was 3.5, the boy's overall team GPA was 3.45.
"This award really belongs to the faculty of Baylor," Baylor boys soccer coach Curtis Blair said. "The faculty of Baylor go above and beyond to help all our students athletes. We hold our students to a high standard on the soccer field and in the classroom. We want our programs to reflect student-athletes and not just soccer players."
This annual award is based on a team's academic performance for the entire academic year.
For a team to be considered, it must have a composite team grade point average of at least 3.25 (on a 4.0 scale) for all team members who appear on the official eligibility roster for the season, and the coach must be a current NSCAA member.
