32 Contenders Seeking 14 Seats On Bradley County Commission

Thirty two candidates thus far are showing an interest in 14 seats on the Bradley County Commission.

Among the latest to pick up are James Daniel Smith in District 1, Jack E. Burke Jr. in District 5 and Pam W. Edgemon in District 7.

Christopher J. Davis has picked up papers to challenge County Mayor D. Gary Davis in the Republican primary.

Woman Described As Large-Scale Ice Meth Dealer Facing Charges In Chattanooga

A woman described as a large-scale ice methamphetamine dealer is facing federal charges. Hilda Trujillo-Rojas has been ordered to be detained pending the outcome of her case. Brush Fire Destroys Old Home In Lakesite Area

A brush fire destroyed an old home in the Lakesite area on Wednesday. At 4:30 p.m., a neighbor called 911 to report a house fire along with a brush fire at 9113 Berry Lane. The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded and reported the house and surrounding property were on fire. Use The Current Rail System Already In Place - And Response

Why spend $20 million or more on an unproven system to run from the Southside of Chattanooga when we already have the beginnings of a system?  The question apparently has surfaced of why the Choo Choo City doesn't have a rail line.
