Emily Marie Tate, 32, died unexpectedly, Monday, January 13, 2014 at her residence with her faithful English Bulldog, Lulu by her side.

She grew up on Signal Mountain and graduated from Red Bank High School in 2000 and attended Chattanooga State Community College. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Chattanooga. Emily was employed by MAA Hidden Creek Apartments as assistant property manager.

Emily was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, the Rev. Lee R. and Ruth Tate and maternal grandmother, Ida Mae Sisk. 

Emily will be sorely missed by her cousins, aunts and uncles. She was our funny girl and our pride and joy with whom we shared many memorable family gatherings. She was a loving and generous lady and treasured by all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted fiancé, Eric Stout, Chattanooga; loving parents, David and Gail Sisk Tate, Signal Mountain; her inseparable sister, Ellie Tate Braxton and husband, Matt, a niece and nephew, Allie and Aden who adored their Auntie.

The family will receive friends from 4:30-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
