Signal Mountain Genealogical Society Meeting February 4

The Signal Mountain Genealogical Society will meet at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at the
Walden Town Hall (1836 Taft Highway).    Refreshments will be served at 1:00 pm followed by the business meeting and program.

 The speaker for the February meeting will be Signal Mountain resident, Lynne Hill.  Ms. Hill, who is active in the local Daughters of The American Revolution, will present a program, " Utilizing DAR resources for genealogical searches."  

 Visitors are welcome as always.

Morning Fire Destroys Vacant Valleybrook House; 2 Firefighters Suffer Burns

Fire destroyed a vacant house in the Valleybrook Community early Thursday morning. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 5:35 a.m. and responded to a reported fire at the Valleybrook Golf and Country Club off Hixson Pike.
