Signal Mountain Genealogical Society Meeting February 4

The Signal Mountain Genealogical Society will meet at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at the
Walden Town Hall (1836 Taft Highway).    Refreshments will be served at 1:00 pm followed by the business meeting and program.

 The speaker for the February meeting will be Signal Mountain resident, Lynne Hill.  Ms. Hill, who is active in the local Daughters of The American Revolution, will present a program, " Utilizing DAR resources for genealogical searches."  

 Visitors are welcome as always.


Catoosa County Historical Society Meets Monday

The Catoosa County Historical Society will meet on Monday at 7 p.m. at the Old Stone Church Museum in Ringgold. This meeting will be different from their usual one. Instead of a speaker, there will be a Show and Tell program. History Center Presentation on Chattanooga Photography is January 24

The Chattanooga History Center will present "Say Cheese!" Photography and the Chattanooga Story , for ages 8-13 at 2:30-4:00pm on Saturday, January 24th, 2015 at the Center. Investigators Found Trail Of Blood, Beer Bottles Near Site Of Slaying Of Riverman

An investigator said a trail of blood and beer bottles was near where the lifeless body of 46-year-old Donald Rogers was found in an aluminum fishing boat on April 24, 2012. Detective Robin Langford said when he arrived at the site by boat docks off Johnson Road the body was still in the boat. He said the victim's head and arms were over the side of the boat. Man Stabbed In Domestic Dispute On Sunrise Lane Saturday Morning

A man was stabbed Saturday morning on Sunrise Lane.   At approximately  11:41  a.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at 309 Sunrise Lane.  Officers located a 45-year-old black male suffering from a non life-threatening stab wound.
