Frigid Weather, Blowing Snow Bring Hazardous Road Conditions

Frigid weather and blowing snow brought hazardous road conditions in the Chattanooga area on Thursday night.

Roberts Mill Road was closed to traffic due to weather conditions.  

Janice Atkinson of the sheriff's office said, "Driving conditions have become hazardous and drivers should be warned to stay off roadways if at all possible."

Fire Damages Residence In Bonny Oaks Section; Turtle Rescued

A fire damaged a home in the Bonny Oaks section on Thursday evening. The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to 4099 Alexis Circle. It took five companies about 10 minutes to get the fire under control. The fire was contained to one room of the house with heavy damage to that second-story bedroom.
