Teen Killed In Wreck On Adams Road; Another In Critical Condition; 3rd With Minor Injuries

A teenager was killed Monday morning in a traffic accident on Adams Road and a second was left with critical injuries. The victim was a freshman at Hixson High School.

At approximately 8:40 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a single vehicle traffic crash at 4900 Adams Road. Traffic investigators discovered that a Nissan pickup truck had lost control, traveled off the roadway, rolled over and struck a tree. All occupants were ejected from the truck. 

One passenger was killed as a result of injuries sustained, and a passenger was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in critical condition. The driver was also transported to a local hospital and is being treated for minor injuries.  

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.

Red Bank Updating Court Software; Sets Hotel Tax Though City Still Waiting For Hotel

City Manager Randall Smith told the Red Bank Commissioners that the court clerk and deputy clerk are in dire need of upgraded court software.
