Nathan Walldorf with Herman Walldorf & Co. Realtors, Inc. has been awarded the National Association of Realtors Green Designation, the only green real estate professional designation recognized by NAR.

Mr. Walldorf achieved this prestigious designation after completing 18 hours of course work designed specifically for realtors. The courses were created in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of industry experts from across the country; ensuring designees gain comprehensive knowledge of green homes and buildings and issues of sustainability in relation to real estate.

More specifically, Mr. Walldorf was trained in understanding what makes a property green, helping clients evaluate the cost/benefits of green building features and practices, distinguishing between industry rating and classification systems, listing and marketing green homes and buildings, discussing the financial grants and incentives available to homeowners, and helping consumers see a property’s green potential.

“Living green is about making healthy choices that are also easy on your wallet. NAR Green Designees have the necessary resources & relationships to effectively work with you on your next green project.” said Kristen Short, executive director of NAR’s Green Designation.  NAR’s Green Designation was developed in response to growing consumer awareness of the benefits of resource-efficient homes and buildings. The designation helps consumers who care about energy efficiency and sustainable building practices identify realtors who can help them realize their green real estate and lifestyle goals.

Officials said, "As an NAR Green designee, Mr. Walldorf has gained the knowledge and the tools necessary to become a trusted green resource for Chattanooga.  He also offers free resource to the public for “greening” their homes at www.DrinktheGreenKoolAidChattanooga.com.  His training, coupled with his work with Green & Lofty Llc building green homes puts him in the perfect place to educate & understand the public’s Green housing needs."

Dr. King Wouldn't Approve Of The Mayhem In Baltimore

I am mostly certain that Dr. King never meant for this kind of violence to happen.  I don't recall any of the protests he led not being peaceful.  He would most definitely not approve of people burning, looting, the complete and utter unnecessary mayhem, or anything like what happened in Baltimore. Do you really believe Dr. King would condone 8, 10, 12-year-old children ... (click for more)

To those of the Jewish faith, the celebration of Passover every year is one of freedom. The sacred holidays, held in early April, commemorate the Exodus out of Egypt when Moses led the tribe of Israel from slavery to freedom. I believe it is one of the greatest stories in the Bible. On the other hand, the Jewish people of today are hardly free. Globally, anti-Semitic attacks in ... (click for more)
