Anna Ruth Garrett, 81, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Wednesday January 22, 2014 in a local hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Willie and Lizzie Croft Torbett; and was also preceded in death by her husband J.C. Garrett; her sisters, Reba Lands, Ola Martin and Nadine Roberts; and her brothers, J.C. Torbett and Azel Torbett.
She attended Washington Ave. Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Timothy Garrett; daughters, Kathryn Keller and her husband Ronny and Debra Gibson all from Cleveland; grandchildren, Amber Gibson Ross, Amanda Millsaps, Colby Keller, Tyler Garrett and Macayla Garrett; brothers, Bob Torbett and his wife Janie, Charlie Torbett and his wife Diane, Greely Torbett and his wife Ruth all of Englewood TN; sisters, Della White of Cleveland, Sue McIntire and her husband G.C. of Englewood and Audrey Mitchell of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 25 at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush funeral homes with Rev. Joe Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Chestuee Baptist Church Cemetery in Monroe County with David McIntire, Dewayne Hicks, Paul Lemons, Colby Keller, Mike Roberts and Bill White serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 24 from 5-8 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
