Father Ryan, Baylor Favored in D-II State Duals

Father Ryan and Baylor have won a combined 14 state duals titles (seven each) and are favored to meet in Saturday night's finals of the TSSAA D-II state duals wrestling championship this weekend at the Ag Center in Franklin.

Ryan defeated Baylor earier this month in the regular season meeting as both teams had a starter out of the lineup; Fyan was missing freshman Eli King (106) and Baylor's state champion Michael Murphy (113)

In the top bracket, Ryan opens with Brentwood Academy with the winner facing the winner of MBA and St. Benedict in the 8:30 p.m. EST semifinals. In the bottom bracket, McCallie takes on two-time defending champion Christian Brothers, while Baylor faces Briarcrest with the winners meeting in the semis.

Championship finals are set for Saturday at 8 p.m. EST

Man Robbed, Stabbed At Hixson Pike Bus Stop
