Hamilton County Schools, UTC Closed Wednesday Along With Many Other Schools, Government Offices And Medical Facilities

Due to inclement weather, Hamilton County Schools will be closed Wednesday. UTC will be closed all day Wednesday. The Zac Brown Band concert scheduled for 7 p.m. McKenzie Arena will be held at a later date.

School-aged child care for the county schools will be closed and all after school activities are cancelled. Twelve-month employees are to report by 10 a.m. Maintenance employees will report at regular time. 

Central Office will be closed. Principals and assistants do not report.

Chattanooga City Court and the City Court Clerk's Office will be closed on Wednesday

Due to the weather, non-essential city of Chattanooga employees who are unable to safely travel from their home should report in by 10 a.m. Wednesday morning if needed. 

City of Chattanooga residents who have questions concerning road conditions or city services can call 311 Wednesday morning during regular operating times (8 a.m. to 6 .p.m). 

Chattanooga College, Medical, Dental & Technical College will be closed on Wednesday for day and evening classes.

Cleveland City Hall will work on a two-hour delay Wednesday. Offices open at 10 a.m.

Both the Dalton and Ellijay campuses of Dalton State college will be closed Wednesday. The school will reopen Thursday morning.

Due to road conditions, both of Erlanger’s community health centers, at Dodson Avenue and Southside, are closed Wednesday.  Area residents who have appointments with Erlanger physicians Wednesday orThursday are asked to call their physician’s office for an update on hours of operation – if they haven’t already been notified.

All operations of the Hamilton County Assessor's Office and the County Clerk's Office and the Register of Deeds Office will be closed. County Clerk Bill Knowles stated that he will personally respond to emails throughout the day providing answers and forwarding forms regarding title and registration questions.

The Hamilton County Courthouse will be open for business Wednesday. However, the County Commission agenda meeting is cancelled.
