Woman Called Police To Say She Had Just Murdered Her Ex-Boyfriend

Police said a woman called Monday to say she had just murdered her ex-boyfriend.

Monica Sharell Delk, 35, was arrested for criminal homicide in the death of Charles Brown IV.

Officers found the victim lying on the kitchen floor of 1216 Grove Street Court. He had been stabbed at least once in the chest and was dead.

Ms. Delk was on the scene when police arrived. She was taken to police headquarters for questioning.

She said she stabbed him following an argument.

She sent a text message to her father-in-law and used his phone to call police after he came over.

The incident happened shortly after 6 a.m. 

The children were not involved and did not witness the incident, police said.
