Local Video Production Company Evatt & Bloom Seeks To Cast Sketch Comedy Group

Evatt & Bloom is seeking both actors and writers for the year of 2014.  Auditions will be held on Jan. 20 at the Heritage House as a part of the monthly event “The Backlot.” This will be their only audition for the 2014 season. 

Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to read for an actor's spot. Evatt & Bloom will provide four different short scripts; anyone may read up to two scripts of their choosing.  To take sides early, please email EvattBloom@gmail.com with "Sides Request" as the subject line. Participants should attach a resume and any headshots along with the email.

For anyone interested in writing, email any sample scripts or treatments to EvattBloom@gmail.com with 'Writer Application' as the subject line.

The Heritage House is at 1428 Jenkins Road. 

Auditions will take place Jan. 20 from 7-9 p.m.  Video submissions may be accepted if participants cannot attend this event.  Email all video submissions by Jan. 31.

Bradley, 24, Charged In Death Of 3-Year-Old Boy At Soddy Daisy

Justin Dale Bradley has been charged with criminal homicide in the death of a three-year-old child, who was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday and later died. Authorities said Bradley, 24, is the boyfriend of the child's mother. The mother earlier took out an order of protection against Bradley, and he was arrested for violating the order. Shooting Of 15-Year-Old Began As Argument Between Teens

According to police, the Tuesday night shooting of a juvenile on Taylor Street started as an argument between the two young men. Terry Marshell Smith Jr., 19, was arrested the following day. Better Plan For Walnut Street Hotel

Mitch Patel and his Vision Hospitality Group have unveiled a revised plan for a hotel on Walnut Street. It is much better than the one proposed two years ago.
