The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help with identifying a suspect who used a stolen debit card to buy more than $90 worth of merchandise at the Walnut Avenue Kroger.
The credit card, which belonged to a victim in Smyrna, Ga., was also used for additional fraudulent charges in Tennessee.
The incident happened on Dec. 8, and was reported to authorities two days later. The victim reported that his card number was used at the Walnut Avenue grocery store at 12:07 p.m. Investigators retrieved surveillance photos of the transaction and saw a heavy-set white or Hispanic male wearing a hooded sweatshirt and driving-hat style cap. The suspect was driving a light-colored Ford F-150. He charged $92.04 on the card.
