Police said fingerprints have left to a couple of burglary arrests in separate cases.

Prints that were found on a small back door window led to the arrest of 18-year-old Airronn Jamar Lansden for stealing two TVs.

Lansden, of 1204 Rockway Dr., was charged with aggravated burglary.

Dianna Watt said she arrived home on Hargraves Avenue on Oct. 21 and found that two LG flat screen TVs worth $1,000 were missing. She said a small window on the back door had been forced up and pushed in allowing the door to be unlocked from the outside.

Several fingerprints were lifted from the window and traced to Lansden.

Ms. Watt told police that Landsden had stolen from her family before.

She said on the day of the burglary that Lansden gave a friendly hello to her daughters, though they had not been on speaking terms.

She said Landsden had been visiting his parents across the street from her residence on the day of the break-in.

Police arrested Marcus Altwon Hayes, 41, after prints were lifted following a break-in at the home of Devin Brown on Pierce Avenue.

The resident said his rear door was forced open and several of his personal items had been placed in boxes. Some of his electronics, including a Playstation and TV, were also sitting near the door as if someone had planned to come back to get them.

An officer found what appeared to be latent fingerprints on the TV and Playstation. The prints were found to be those of Hayes.

The resident said he does not know Hayes.

Damage to the door was put at $250.

Every spring there comes a bright day on the ranch when the straw-boss decrees a goat-roping should take place. What really happens is the veteran cowboys arm the greenhorns with some lariats late in the afternoon and take them to the pen that holds some Billy goats. This is before they get into bigger beasts -- horses and cattle – yet what appears to be easy most certainly is not. ... (click for more)
