Grace Nets 9-0 Soccer Win

The Grace Academy Lady Golden Eagles kept themselves in a tie for first place in district 5-A/AA with a 9-0 win over Sweetwater High School Tuesday night. It took Grace Academy about 15 minutes to net its first goal, but then the goals came quickly.

Kayla Bibbs and Maddie Ferrel led the way for Grace scoring two goals each while five other Lady Golden Eagles scored once. 

Rachel Carter, Danielle Shumaker, and Kaitlyn Wade assisted on two goals apiece. 

Once again Holly Badger and Chloe Phillips anchored a solid defense for Grace as the Lady Golden Eagles secured another shutout. 

Rachel Beard and Amanda Houck combined to keep a clean sheet in goal.

Grace Academy will head to McMinn Central on Thursday for their next district 5-A/AA matchup.
