The Chattanooga Zoo will host its annual Banana Ball on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 6:30-11:00 p.m. at the Zoo, 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave.  "Guests will experience a special evening at the Zoo, while enjoying a presentation by Jack Hanna, up close animal encounter, heavy hors d’oeuvres, dancing and an open bar. All for the special low price of only $75," zoo officials said.  A cigar bar providing signature hand rolled cigars by Burns Tobacconist will also be made available to attendees.

They will also be bringing back the annual Banana Split event just for kids.  Children ages 3 and up are invited to come enjoy a presentation by Jack Hanna and his animal friends, along with face painting, animal encounters, and a special banana treat. This event will take place from 2-4 p.m. at the Zoo on Saturday, Oct. 11. Tickets are $20 per person and are available online or in the Zoo Gift Shop.

For those interested in getting to spend quality time with Jack, a special VIP Meet n’ Greet ticket is available for purchase for $150.  The VIP ticket includes admission to Banana Ball as well as a private VIP reception beginning at 5:30 p.m.

"Banana Ball is the Chattanooga Zoo’s signature fundraising event with all proceeds going to the care of the Zoo’s many wonderful animals, as well as its conservation, education and rehabilitation efforts," officials stated.

"Banana Ball is our most anticipated fundraising event of the year,” Darde Long, Zoo President and CEO said. “We hope everyone will come out and enjoy a magical evening at the Zoo to benefit a great cause.”
