Jacqueline “Jackie” H. Moore, 83, of Cleveland, TN passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the family residence.
She was the wife of the late Rev. Harry Lee Moore; and was also preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Nellie Hawkins; and her second husband, Hank Bailey.
Mrs. Moore was a teacher teaching at Tomlinson College and Lee College. She was also a counselor having her own practice and also doing counseling thru Peerless Road Church. She was the Director of Counseling for the Church of God of Prophecy. She served on numerous boards including Teen Challenge, Life Bridges Ethics Board and was a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family therapy, American Association of Christian Counselors, National Board of Certified Counselor, Spouses and Veterans Experiencing Sorrow. She also was a supervisor at the Youth Counseling Center and read to the patients at the Gardens of Wellington Place and was involved with the Emmas community.
She is survived by her sons, Randall Craig Moore of Cleveland and Blaine Moore and his wife Sandy of Crossville, TN; her daughter, Valerie Kim Lewis and her husband Bill of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Jeromy Lewis, Deidra Lewis, Brittany Lewis and Candace Moore; her brother, Donald Hawkins of Chatsworth; and sister, Wanda Majors of Yorktown, PA.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 12 at the Peerless Road Church with Rev. Marvin Eskew officiating.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 12 from 2-4 p.m. at the church.
The Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements.
