TEPS is an honorary and service organization for sophomores who have demonstrated potential in the areas of spirit, service and leadership as McCallie students. The group was named for Dr. T.E.P. Woods, who served as the school's associate headmaster from 1921-1948 and taught Bible, English, Latin, Greek and history.
In recent years, the organization has given away over thousands of spirit buttons to students and fans, sponsored "free dress" days for the students and the Athlete of the Week award, volunteered for work projects supporting Widow's Harvest Ministries, and donated thousands to numerous worthwhile and charitable organizations including the Chattanooga Area Food Bank and others.
