Mary Len Cole, 69, died on October 8, 2014 at a local hospital. 

She was a member of New Anointing Purse Holiness Church.  She was educated in the Chattanooga School System.  She was employed by the Juvenile system, Board of Education, and Health Department.  She also worked with the homeless shelter and also as a foster parent.

She was a very active member in her church.  She worked with Sunday School, The Mother Board, Youth Ministry and wherever there was a need, she did all she could to help.

Survivors include her children, Carolyn (Johnny) Hines of Cincinnati; Mary (Kedrick) McKenzie, Angela Russell (Charles Elberhart), Norma Joshen, all of Chattanooga; a host of grandchildren; sisters, Joann Johnson, Angela Gibbs and Sharon Varner; brothers, James, Ronald, George and Alvin Armour, all of Chattanooga; special friends, Murlene Williams, Pauline Garth, Carol McKenzie and Joann Butts.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 17, at noon at New Anointing Pure Holiness Church with Bishop A. D. Ringer officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, Oct. 16, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
