Glenn Wylie Bass of East Ridge died on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in a local hospital.  

He was a member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. Glenn was a graduate of Chattanooga Valley High School class of 1953.  He was a veteran of the U S Army in the 728th Military Police Battalion in Korea.  He was a member of the American Legion William E. Blair Post 95.  Glenn was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of East Ridge Lodge #755 F&AM and the GCIU Local 197-M.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Finas and Beulah Mae Sims Bass and his brothers, Vestal F. Bass, Dewey Wade Bass and Paul Douglas Bass.

Survivors include his wife, Jeannine Pace Bass; two daughters, Sharon Marie Bass and Karen Michelle Boman; two grandchildren, Madison Elise Boman and Mason Andrew Boman; one brother, John Robert Bass; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Reverend Larry Dial officiating.  

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
