Susan Campbell, 68, of Harrison, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

Susan was a loving wife and mother. She leaves a legacy of enduring faith and hope throughout a life of adversity. She was fiercely creative and rarely let any obstacle keep her from her dreams. Her children and grandchildren will remember her for always being ready for the next adventure or “mis”adventure. There are storytellers and there are story makers. Susan will be remembered as the latter for generations to come. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She invested in memories and her example to those who knew her best was to remember to live fully no matter what happens.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Larry J. Campbell; and son, Robert Horton Campbell.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Brad) Shumpert, of Jonesboro, Ar.; son, Jacob (Minda); brother Gwynne Little; sister, Nancy Clark; grandchildren, Kiley Park Shumpert, Robyn Clair Shumpert, Emily Alice Campbell, and Eleanor Harper Campbell.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 17, from 5-8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home – North Chapel, and on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 12-1 p.m.

Funeral services for Susan will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, in the funeral home chapel with Minister Jim Black officiating.

Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are by the Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, North Chapel, Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
