Wanda J. Hicks, 65, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014.
She was born on February 27, 1949 to the late Dickie and Helen Hicks. Wanda was a hummingbird collector and an avid George Jones fan; above all things, she loved taking care of her nieces and nephews, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dwight Hicks.
She is survived by her faithful companion, James Taylor; brother and sister-in-law, Doyle and Debbie Hicks; sister, Shirley Woods; two nephews, Jeffery Woods and Travis Hicks; niece, Paula McAdams; great-nieces, Monica Woods, Madison Woods and Halen Thomas; and great-great-nephew, Bentley Woods.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, at Samples Memorial Baptist Church at 7 p.m.
Interment will be at Samples Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, October 16, at 1 p.m.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15 at the church, before the service.
