  • Thursday, October 16, 2014
hrivent Financial is hosting a free educational workshop entitled Social Security: Strategize to Maximize on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m. at Habitat Humanity of Greater Chattanooga. Habitat’s office is 1201 E. Main Street. The workshop, designed for individuals who are presently retired or approaching retirement, seeks to answer common questions about Social Security benefits including:

·      When should I apply for Social Security?
·      How can I maximize my benefits?
·      How will this affect my spouse?

“There are hundreds of different ways to apply for social security," said Mark Gluckner, financial consultant at Thrivent Financial.
“They all have far-reaching consequences to your financial future. We want to help provide clarity to those decisions."

Social Security mistakes can be very costly. During the two-hour long workshop, experts from Thrivent Financial will answer questions as well as help participants sort through their options to ensure the choices they make are tailored to fit their needs.

While this event is free and open to the public, space is limited and registration is required. To register for this educational workshop, contact Suzanne Wyche at Thrivent Financial’s local office at 423 648-0614 or send an email to suzanne.wych@thrivent.com. The deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 24.
