Grand Jury Looking Into Firing, Reinstatement Of Cleveland Police Sgt. Tyson

The Bradley County Grand Jury is looking into the firing and then reinstatement of veteran Cleveland Police Sgt. Steve Tyson.

Cleveland City Manager Janice Casteel was among those receiving a subpoena to appear before the Grand Jury to testify.

Sgt. Tyson was rehired after the Cleveland City Council passed a motion in support of his rehiring after many family members, friends and colleagues spoke in his defense.

Lt. Tyson was terminated from his 27-year career after failing a random drug test. According to family members, Lt. Tyson suffers from kidney stones and took one of his son's pain pills one night after work.
